Christian Diaz Orejarena studied conceptual and media art in Berlin and Vienna. He works on research-based and interdisciplinary projects that often arise in a collective context. In his artistic work, he tells self-deprecating and personal stories about his post-migrant biography and constructs a docufictional view of socio-political, economic and aesthetic connections between Colombia and Germany. Facing his own madness, he holds a mirror up to society through his artistic practice and builds drawings, videos and actions back into life that tell of maladjusted things, resistant people and anti-colonial dream beings. Since he started working with the action group rampe:collective, he also motivates others to fight for an undisciplined world through drawing, film and poetry.

Christian Diaz Orejarena studierte in Berlin und Wien Konzept- und Medienkunst. Er arbeitet an recherchebasierten und interdisziplinären Projekten, die oft in kollektivem Zusammenhang entstehen. In seiner künstlerischen Arbeit erzählt er selbstironische und persönliche Geschichten über seine postmigrantische Biografie und konstruiert darüber einen dokufiktiven Blick auf sozio-politische, ökonomische und ästhetische Verbindungen zwischen Kolumbien und Deutschland. Den eigenen Wahnsinn vor Augen, hält er durch seine künstlerische Praxis der Gesellschaft den Spiegel vor die Nase und baut Zeichnungen, Videos und Aktionen ins Leben zurück, die von unangepassten Dingen, widerständigen Menschen und antikolonialen Traumwesen berichten. Seit er mit der Aktionsgruppe rampe:collective zusammen arbeitet, motiviert er auch andere sich mittels Zeichnung, Film und Poesie eine undisziplinierte Welt zu erkämpfen.

Christian Díaz Orejarena estudió artes plásticas con el enfoque a lo conceptual y mediático en Berlín y Viena. Trabaja en proyectos investigativos e interdisciplinarios que a menudo surgen en un contexto colectivo. En su obra artística, cuenta historias humoristicas y personales sobre su biografía post-migrante colombo-alemana y construye una visión docuficcional de las conexiones sociopolíticas, económicas y estéticas entre Colombia y Alemania. Enfrentándose a su propia locura, levanta un espejo a la sociedad a través de su práctica artística y devuelve a la vida dibujos, vídeos y acciones que hablan de cosas inadaptadas, personas resistentes y seres de ensueño anticolonial. Desde que empezó a trabajar con el grupo de acción rampe:collective, también motiva a otros a luchar por un mundo indisciplinado a través del dibujo, el cine y la poesía.
